I’m bringing my own computer. What do I need to get connected to the network? You need an Ethernet adapter installed in your computer. Virtually every new computer contains a built-in network adapter, so check your computer before you buy one. Penn's College House connections are 10baseT (or 10MB) Ethernet connections. The jack looks like a larger telephone plug. If you’re not sure what to buy, you can purchase an Ethernet card at the Computer Connection in the Penn Bookstore.
